MARIA BAOLI

Maria Baoli was born in Madrid and lives and works in Brussels. Her work focuses on memories and spaces. They function as a starting point to examine the relationship between identity and physical and non-physical spaces. Photography is an ideal tool for research, to remember and understand the world we live in. Hence, Maria is increasingly interested in the camera as a tool for collaboration and improvisation in regard to her subject matter. For Maria working with photography encompasses pleasure and creative energy. Photography gives a sense of meaning, it enables one to share experiences and emotions, and to open up and connect. Her work has recently been shown in group and solo exhibitions in the Netherlands, Spain, Belgium and Latvia.
